Coast-Tel Federal Credit Union was originally founded in 1959 as the Salinas District Telephone Employees Federal Credit Union and membership was restricted to their employees and family members. Since that time membership has expanded and now anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships anywhere in Monterey County may join. In addition, Coast-Tel FCU provides services to the employees and patrons of many local businesses, schools, community organizations and places of worship. Those organizations include:
